ATT network maintenance 16-Aug-2012
ATT has informed us that they have maintenance scheduled in their Milwaukee central office between 00:00 and 06:00 on Thursday August 16th. We do not expect this maintenance to affect us. If there are any issues with our ATT connection BGP will automatically route internet traffic to our other network providers.
VPS control panel update – 11-Aug-2012
On Saturday August 11th beginning at 10:00 PM we will be upgrading the VPS control panel. The upgrade process typically takes 10 – 15 minutes. This upgrade only affects the control panel, not the actual VPS’s. After the upgrade the control panel with have an updated look and feel.

Overall up-time for the for July 2012 was 99.948%. 18 of 26 servers had 100% uptime.
Hardware maintenance for the server jonah secured for 4-Aug-2012
We have scheduled hardware maintenance scheduled for the server ‘jonah’ on 4-Aug-2012. The maintenance is scheduled to begin at 11:00 PM Central US time. We expect the server to be down for approximately one hour. We will update this post when the maintenance is completed.
cPanel addreses CVE-2012-2978
A new build of cPanel/WHM is being released to all tiers tonight to address CVE-2012-2978. CVE-2012-2978 addresses an issue with NSD (an authoritative DNS server) which did not properly handle non-standard DNS packets. A patch has been supplied by NLNet Labs.

About 11:50 PM Central US time we detected an error on lizzie.umbrahosting.com (one of our shared hosting servers). A file system had detected an error and switched into read-only mode.
